Sir Daniel Donohue Fund
Affectionately known as “Sir Daniel” to his friends and family, Daniel Donohue served as chairman of the Dan Murphy Foundation for more than 40 years. He was a strong proponent of Catholic schools and programs for the poor, was essential to the construction of the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, and was a passionate patron of the arts. This fund, in his memory, supports Catholic programs throughout the Archdiocese that are most in need.
Union Rescue Mission Charitable Fund
The Union Rescue Mission in Los Angeles provides safe shelter for more than 1,300 precious souls a night. Sharing the compassion of Jesus Christ for 125 years, its mission is to embrace all homeless men, women, and children and give them hope and healing for a changed life. In addition to meals and shelter, URM also offers emergency services, recovery programs, clinics, and a learning center to help the homeless find their way home.
